During nice weather we use this door to come and go in the childcare area. In the winter time we we use the door in the dining room to go in and out of.

The stand in the picture was a freebie that I got at the local gas station, used to display doughnuts. I use it for storing the puzzles on. Each shelf holds one or two kinds of puzzles on it. One the top I store our Alpha Jars.
The next picture is a close up of our Alpha Jars. I think I got the idea for these from Helena but I am not sure.
The last picture is what I put in the Alpha Jars. The kids love this jars. They always have them out. I now have them stored on the little shelves on the sides of the stand. Each little shelf holds 3 of the jars.
This is our art, dry erase and magnetic easel. It is made for four kids to use at one time. Right now I only have three kids in care so I have it pushed up against the wall. When I need to make room for four kids I just pull it away from the wall a couple of feet.
The second picture is a shelf on the wall above the art easel. I keep our paints, glue, art shirts and bingo markers up there because I had a 16mo that would get into them all the time. All the older kids have to do is ask and they get them.
This is our housekeeping area. I keep it kind of on the small size because I really don't have the room for a big area. I have other toys that I switch out every month. The white three drawer stand has dishes, play food, purses and play phones in it.
I pull this table out in the middle of the room when the kids want to play in it. I keep sand in it. One the bottom of it I have to clear plastic tubs. One is filled with dry beans and the other with rice. I just sit one of these on the floor and let the kids have fun. Next to the table in my file cabinet full of themes and some arts and crafts supplies.
Here is our Bulletin Board. This is the only wall that is really big enough for me to display learning aids. Here I have our calendar, months of the year, days of the week, weather chart, weather bear, ABC's,Numbers, Letter of the week and more.
Underneath the bulletin board is the TV, VCR and the infant toys.
I got this changing table and the nap cots with a grant from MI 4C's.
I love the stairs on the changing table. No more back breaking lifting of the heavier kids who are still in diapers.
This is only half of the children's books I have. I have a matching shelf upstairs that is full to the brim with more children's books. The ones upstairs I use for my take home bags and my themes. Parents are allowed to borrow books from the dc room to take home and read to the kids.
The kids use this computer 2-3 times a week. Depending on how much time we need for the theme that week. I have 35 computer learning games for them to play. I start kids as young as 18 months old on the computer. The young ones sit in my lap and I help them.
Here is where I keep the movies. I had a lot more of the VHS but as I replace them with DVD's I get rid of the VHS tapes.
This is where the kids do their art work, play dough, puzzles and other sit down activities. At the end of the table is a better view of the TV and infant toys.
Here I keep the blocks, cars and trucks, animals, little people and manipulatives. In the big green, pink and purple tubs I have extra arts and crafts supplies stored. A clear tub in the floor next to the shelf is loaded with puppets. On the very top shelf is some of the things we use during preschool time. I keep them up there because the kids like to use them in the housekeeping area and then the smaller children get a hold of them and in the mouth they go.
Since I do not have much wall space I keep out theme of the week bulletin board small. The shelves in this picture hold our things we need for preschool, some of the computer games, toys and more. The basket on the shelf is what I keep the small things I need for the week for our theme. All I have to do is take it to the table and we get to work. I put the theme file folder game, matching games, puzzles, flash cards, worksheets, story books and anything else I need to teach the weeks theme. Makes it easier for me through the week.
