This view is of the front half of the room. The sand and water tables in the corner have additional tubs stored under them that contain different items like beans, rice, aquarium gravel, etc.

This is also the place where our class pets live. We have fish, mice, and two Green Anoles (lizards). This is one of the favorite areas of the children. You can see it's full of hands on activities for them.

I added this area a few months ago. It is two tower bookcases joined with shelving from Lowe's. The shelf in the center is used to display items related to our current theme. It has a listening center built into it for book on tape and storage for puppets. All of the books are stored by subject and rotated on the lower bookcase for the children to have easy access. The lower bookcases sell for over 100.00 in supply catalogs but we built this one for less then 12.00.

This is the infant outdoor area. It is built under our deck and keeps the little ones safe. It is about 12 X 12 in size. It stays shaded most of the time so it is perfect for the babies.

This was built to serve as an outdoor sand/water/gardening area. Since these pictures were taken the children have planted tomatoes, pumpkins, cotton, and a few things in the circles.

These are two student desks that I found on closeout at OfficeMax. They were 29.00 each and included the chairs. I joined them together with a short board under the file folder rack. The drawers have several types of paper, and I keep it stocked with markers, crayons, glue, scissors, rulers, stickers and just about anything else I run across. The file folders have games, letter matching, beginning writing templates, and other activities laminated so they can be reused. It is also stocked with simple books for the children to make and scissor skill sheets.
