The Bright Creative Corners Room. Another View of Creative Corners Room. This is such a fun bright room! We still need to get 2 ceiling fans and new shades but other than that it is pretty much completed! Crib Area Here is the the wall I recently painted- keeping in mind i have never painted before- I thought it came out pretty good for free hand. This computer is made by Little Tikes and IBM normally it retails anywhere from $2,000- $3,000!! We were grateful to have it donated new. We have one on one time from toddler programs all the way up to 8th grade levels! It sits two on the bench. Dress up and Toy Cubbies- Here we have dress up chest and then the cubbies filled with toys of all kinds!!! This is originally a huge Puppet stand but we also use it to hold misc lessons of Practical Life and Sensorial. Toddler Mirror w/ BAR- This is one of my favorite additions we have now- it is a huge 48" mirror with a maple bar in the middle to help the children grasp their balance and learn to pull themselves up, admire their cuteness whatever they wish! This is Our Math Area- We do have several more Montessori lessons in this area that I don't have out due to small pieces; however I would bring them out only when the smaller children and infants were napping and work one on one with the preschoolers at that time on them. :) More Math Area Part of our Sensorial Area. The other half of our Sensorial area. Language Area Birthday Chart Each day we have a helper do the weather and calender during morning circle time. This is a LakeShore flannel type board- great for all of my flannel board stories I have collected over the years- and perfect for circle time. Underneath the easel i store the activity boppy seats that I am using for the younger toddlers to use as seats -during circle time. This is our Boppy Seats up Close- Great for the little ones just learning to sit up and still be able to take part in circle time and storytime. :0) Diaper Changing Area- This is great as we can fold it up when Daycare is over. Children above 12 months-2 yrs sleep/rest in Pack'n Plays during nap/rest time Parent's Board Underneath The front Parent's Board is the Parent's Sign In and Out Book -This is a Must where the Parents MUst sign in and Out their child with the time and date. I also have a file folder where important papers, invitations , newleters etc go home. It express from day one how important it is to have PARENT/PROVIDER COMMUNICATION. Every child and in this case doll deserves their own throne! Actually this cabbage patch doll w/real sounding toliet is a great toliet training tool to keep on hand for both girls and boys! Well if we had a larger house -being married to a musician that I am, we would indeed have a grand piano. But in the meantime the children all enjoy practicing their keys on this one. This is where the children place all of their items-Each child has their own cubbie including my son. Notie my son never seems to clean his ccubby out??? LOL The infants keep their diapers, wipes etc seperate in a bin under he changing table. Inside the Geometric Cabinet This is an example of one of the 6 drawers (each drawer has different shaped metal insets) Geography Area Little Tikes Activity Garden- Next to the Garden is a Little Tikes Peek a Boo tunnel and Slide ~ Great for the Toddlers :0) Little Tikes Workbench Little Tikes Airplane SeeSaw-This seesaw also can be for one to three children. Here is our medium slide and next to the orange tree is a few push toys like a waddle duck family and lawn mower made by Little Tikes. Misc Shelf Toys Our Larger TownHouse- As you can see this is our larger slide and climbing town house- the children can also play underneath as well. Activity Rug- They all -especially my boys ~ love this rug with the Bob the Builder talking vehicles! Seesaw & Pony- Here we have our Little Tikes Alligater seesaw that fits one to three children and our Today's Kid Pony that makes horse galloping sounds as you ride on it. Hedstrom Slide and Swing- I am not a big fan of swing sets however this is a swing set that is safe :0) for young toddlers next to it is a Little Tikes Peek a Bo tunnel slide. Our Sand and Water Table OutSide Our Roller Coaster This is Our Latest Treat! Made by Step2 This is a musical and automatic rollercoater! Runs on a battery- and yes it does have a seatbelt too :0) The children really enjoy this ride! makes me wish I was little again!
